If you can wash it, I definitely would. Wouldn't want them getting
respiratory problems from mold/mildew. It might be hard to wash, being
so thick. May be better to throw it out and start with a fresh piece
(you can usually pick them up pretty cheap, I think, from upholstery
stores). Use a razor blade to cut it.

The pups, at almost 8.5 months, are big boys now. Bogart is 75 lbs. and
Rooney's 66lbs. We seem to need more comfy resting places as everyone
has been jockeying for the good ones, so I thought I'd make some dog
beds/pillows. I have an older double bed sized piece of four inch foam
that I'd like to use. I'm not certain what to use to cut it. Does
anyone know? Also, this foam has been stored in the basement and smells
a little musty. What can I do about that? Should I wash it?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions.
